Are you an experienced Estimator with a strong background in the construction industry? Our client, a well-established and growing business, is seeking a skilled Estimator to join their team in Richmond and take ownership of compiling accurate and competitive cost estimates for structural steelwork and sub-contract works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile detailed and accurate cost estimates for structural steel and other sub-contract works
  • Assess material, labour, and equipment needs; analyse supplier and sub-contractor quotations
  • Enter data and maintain records using specialist estimating software
  • Ensure all estimates and tenders are commercially viable and profitable
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, quantity surveyors, and other stakeholders
  • Organise and manage tender enquiries, documents, and feedback
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure smooth delivery of technical services

  • Several years of experience in a similar estimating role within the construction industry
  • Strong numeracy, analytical and IT skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A methodical and organised approach with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
