We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Lead to join the Argyle Winery hospitality team! Reporting to the Tasting Room Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations at the Argyle Tasting House. This role plays a key part in ensuring inventory accuracy, efficient shipping and receiving, and safety compliance. The Warehouse Lead will manage incoming and outgoing wine shipments, organize and label inventory, maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the warehouse, and support the Customer Service and Membership teams in preparing club orders. This position is instrumental in upholding the integrity of our inventory and driving toward 95%+ inventory accuracy. This role is based in Dundee, OR and is a full-time, non-exempt position, working Sunday - Thursday and the incumbent qualifies for our outstanding health care benefits, PTO, 401k plan, wine allowance and more!
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years warehousing experience
- Excellent verbal and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, NAV)
- Inventory management experience preferred
- Forklift certification or able to obtain forklift certification within the first 60 days of employment
- Computer record keeping and SKU documentation
- Basic quality control and assurance understanding
- Ability to maintain tracking and inventory of supplies, product & trucking daily
- Keen attention to detail – reinforcing quality over quantity while maintaining efficiency
- Proficient logical reasoning and analytical skills
- Must be able to provide U.S. Work Authorization without current or future sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Receive all inbound wine shipments and verify counts against documentation
- Keep detailed records for all invoicing
- Coordinate ordering, receipt, and storage of packaging materials and Tasting House supplies
- Ensure proper recordkeeping of pallets and physical materials
- Lead the preparation and staging of outbound club shipments and special experience wines
- Follow all shipping and receiving procedures, ensuring inventory is accurately logged and tracked
- Maintain the warehouse in accordance with 5S standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
- Champion safety, ensure OSHA compliance, and eliminate clutter or hazards in the workspace
- Obtain and maintain forklift certification; operate machinery safely and responsibly
- Assist with weekly and monthly inventory cycle counts, including double-blind count processes
- Ensure inventory is clearly organized and labeled according to its purpose:
- Counted vs. non-counted
- Sellable vs. non-sellable
- Tasting Room, Club Pick-Up, Special Experiences, etc.
