Our well-established client is seeking an experienced and proactive Solicitor to join their busy and expanding residential conveyancing team based at their Tonbridge office. The role will involve handling a full and varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, with opportunities to work on commercial matters when required.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Freehold and leasehold sales/purchases
  • Transfers of equity
  • Remortgages
  • Stamp duty procedures
  • Title checking
  • Search reports
  • Enquiries
  • Leasehold sales/purchases including the grant of leases
  • Regulation of landlord and tenant relationships
  • Lease renewals
  • Deeds of surrender
  • Refinancing
  • Acquisitions and sales of businesses
  • Utilities agreements
  • Active involvement in business development
  • Managing files from inception to completion

Successful candidates should be highly organized, disciplined, and capable of managing volume work in a busy environment. They will join a friendly team, possess extensive residential conveyancing experience, and have commercial conveyancing knowledge. The ability to manage a personal caseload with minimal supervision is essential. This is a demanding role requiring the ability to prioritize, use initiative, and work proactively. Good client manner, professional appearance, and technical competence are advantageous but not essential. Secretarial support is provided.
