We are looking for a Monitoring and Improvements Officer to join our busy Revenues and Benefits Service. Working in the Systems Team, you will provide vital support to our Local Taxation and Housing Benefit Services and play a key role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency and delivery of performance improvements.

About you

  • You will need to be a motivated and dynamic individual and able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills as the team embarks upon a programme of transformational changes in the Revenues and Benefits Service.
  • As well as having in-depth knowledge of Housing Benefit and Council Tax legislation, you will be someone who:
  • is able to work both on their own and collaboratively across teams in delivering process changes and improvements, as well identifying issues and finding potential solutions
  • has comprehensive experience of using the NEC Revenues and Benefits and Document Management systems
  • has a keen eye for detail in providing accurate statistical and reporting data
  • is able to demonstrate a proactive and adaptable approach to changing priorities
  • has excellent written and verbal communication skills to enable you to deal with internal and external customers (such as auditors, software suppliers)
  • can interpret and make decisions by applying legislation appropriately and consistently, and ensure internal processes and software meet the requirements.

This post will require a DBS check. An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK. Huntingdonshire District Council does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or take over sponsorship for any role.
