We are a small community based nursery preschool in the heart of Henley on Thames with a beautiful setting and committed team. Due to popular demand we are expanding our dedicated preschool room, to make more space across our under 2's room and a larger capacity for our preschoolers. So we are now recruiting for 2 new staff. We are looking for one Early years nursery assistant/practitioner (at level 2 +) as well as an experienced practitioner who would be assisting as a senior practitioner or assistant Room Leader.

Main responsibilities of the Nursery Assistant / Early Years Practitioner:

  • Provide a positive and happy learning environment that offers choice, independence and a range of experiences, whilst meeting all of the children's needs.
  • Be able to have key person responsibility and carry out daily and individual planning.
  • Ensuring a safe, secure and caring environment for the well-being of the children.
  • Assisting the Nursery Management in all aspects of providing day to day high quality childcare.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe.
  • Have previous experience of working with children under the age of five.
  • Be qualified to Level 2, 3 or equivalent in childcare (required for Senior Nursery Practitioner roles and above).
  • Have a good working knowledge of the EYFS Early Years Foundation Stages.

Hours and working patterns:

  • Full time and Part time options - Full time - working over 4 days 8-6pm (1 set day off).
  • Part time would be 2 or 3 set days per week.
