Join our team at Centrica as a Fleet Account Manager, where you'll be the essential link between our field teams and the Centrica Fleet business. In this role, you'll collaborate with field engineers and leadership across various business units, ensuring seamless vehicle service delivery solutions. You'll also manage outsourced service providers to benefit Centrica. You’ll develop, implement, and monitor fleet-related services, striving for industry-leading performance in safety, service standards, and cost-effectiveness.

The day to day:

  • Identify and address day-to-day operational challenges by collaborating with fleet customers, support services, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain a robust field visit program to ensure high levels of support and contact within your management area.
  • Conduct regular operational review meetings with field teams to discuss key performance indicators, service level agreements, and driver risk ratings.
  • Actively participate in fleet user group meetings, offering recommendations to enhance future service quality.
  • Serve as an EV expert, providing consultative support to the fleet team and customers.
  • Engage with suppliers and regulatory bodies to stay informed about EV products, legislation, and future developments.
  • Prepare and deliver training presentations on fleet and road safety topics for operational staff, new recruits, and apprentices.
  • Stay up to date with relevant transport legislation and provide support to ensure legal compliance.
  • Contribute to the development of budgets for fleet operations, suppliers, acquisitions, and OPEX management.

About You:

You’ll thrive in a busy environment with multiple priorities, always ready to meet deadlines and prearranged targets. Prioritise decisions that solve customer problems and enhance their experience, while being mindful of commercial parameters and downtime targets. Ideally, you have experience in the fleet industry or knowledge of the automotive sector. Experience in managing, delivering, and implementing supplier relationships is a big plus. A solid understanding of budgets and financial appreciation is essential. Familiarity with safety compliance and relevant legislation is advantageous.
