Our client is a scaffolding contractor based in the South East. They are currently looking for a Contracts Manager to cover London and home counties.

My client is searching for a Scaffolding Contracts Manager with experience in a similar role. Proven experience is essential to join a well-established team. The job is based in their Kent branch and involves overseeing operations across the South East. They are one of the leading scaffolding contractors in the South of England, working alongside many of the UK\’s leading main contractors.

Job description and responsibilities:

  • Carry out supervisor and estimator roles & responsibilities, demonstrated through previous experience.
  • Respond efficiently to inquiries and manage customer expectations.
  • Provide specific risk assessments and method statements prior to works.
  • Site surveying and estimating.
  • Conduct Toolbox Talks.
  • Assist Accounts with commercial settlements.
  • Organise labour and logistics for various works, including updating work schedules.
  • Monitor handover procedures.
  • Prepare price worksheets for payments.
  • Attend weekly/monthly in-house meetings.
  • Assist with business development.
  • Safeguard the company\’s interests.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

About the candidate:

  • Previous experience in scaffolding management of small to large industrial, commercial, and domestic projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in the scaffolding sector.
  • Must hold a CISRS Advanced card.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • NEBOSH Construction qualification is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety guidelines, including CDM regulations.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage and build strong working relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexible self-starter with good prioritisation skills.
  • Immediate start preferred.
