DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including the storage and dispatch of volume orders and goods.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
- To manage and oversee the daily, weekly and monthly warehouse operational process and people requirements through effective leadership whilst supporting the Site Manager in achieving site KPI's & cost budget objectives.
- Responsible for meeting all customer requirements and ensuring operational performance is at required levels to meet company and customer expectations.
- Analyse and understand the health and safety related risks for our colleagues, take action to reduce or eliminate the risks, according to a prioritised plan.
- Takes responsibility for managing and running a safe operation and driving a Safety First Culture with all individuals in the operation by applying and improving the Safety Standards.
- To lead a continuous improvement culture in line with H&S guidelines, as well as site procedures and processes.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- Proven experience in FMCG Warehouse Operations Management.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent IT skills - using Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (Red Prairie experience is advantageous).
- Experience leading change management initiatives and driving continuous improvement processes.
- People Management skills - conducting performance reviews, health reviews, back to works, grievances.
