We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Designer with a strong focus on delivering outcome-driven design solutions to join our Product Design function. In this role you will be a key player within a team of 4 product designers, fostering collaboration and sharing best practices. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces that effectively solve complex user challenges and drive measurable business outcomes.
You will influence the design of repeatable processes to streamline collaboration with Engineering and Product Management teams, ensuring efficient communication and alignment throughout the design and development lifecycle. The ideal candidate should be the sparring partner for the Product Manager and Front End developer with a close eye for simplicity and functionality.
Your main responsibilities (we're scaling fast, so these may change as we grow):
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and business objectives.
- Advocate for an outcome-driven approach to design and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive results.
- Translate business objectives into actionable design solutions that drive user engagement, retention, and conversion.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that align with business goals and user needs.
- Design and deliver user stories, user journeys, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Develop and maintain design guidelines, style guides, and design systems to ensure consistency and alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Iterate together with your team on designs based on user feedback and data-driven insights to continuously improve the user experience and achieve desired outcomes.
Requirements: You should apply if you have (we know it’s tough, but please try to avoid the confidence gap. You don’t have to match all the listed requirements exactly to be considered for this role):
- Experience in setting up, maintaining and working with a design system.
- Experience in UI/UX design, with a proven track record of collaborating closely with Product Managers and Front End developers.
- Proficient in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar and Jira.
- Demonstable understanding of user-centered design principles, with a focus on simplicity, functionality, and usability.
- Can evidence communication and moderating skills (UX Workshops, Demos, etc.).
- Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey design concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, iterative development process.
- Portfolio showcasing your design expertise, collaboration with product teams, and contributions to achieving business objectives.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus, enabling effective collaboration with Front End developers.
