About the role
Balfour Beatty is seeking a Section Foreman for the Devonport Dockyard project. This role involves supervising construction activities, ensuring safety and quality standards, and coordinating with project teams. Candidates willing to relocate may receive a subsistence package covering accommodation. Join our Regional Civils team at Devonport Dockyard to lead vital infrastructure projects.
What you'll be doing
- Supervise the site team and subcontractors
- Contribute to weekly programming and monitor progress against KPIs
- Communicate weekly programme and targets to the workforce
- Ensure appropriate resource allocation for each work activity
- Chair daily short-interval control meetings with site supervisors
- Validate labour and plant records according to project cost control procedures
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
- Experience as a Foreman in civil engineering/construction
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and communicate effectively
- Current driving license, CSCS card, and SMSTS certification
- Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on health, safety, and environmental standards
