Commercial Practitioner/Officer Manchester

We are currently seeking a number of experienced and ambitious Commercial Practitioner/Commercial Officer professionals to work with our exceptional client in a secure environment, supporting challenging and highly rewarding projects. These contract roles will require you to conduct security clearance prior to assignment. Opportunities are available in Manchester.

You will have the potential to work effectively across a diverse range of internal projects and teams spanning multiple business units, cultivating relationships, determining workflows and priorities, and creating commercial solutions. You will also work via the commercial operations team to ensure the optimisation of commercial activities through policy creation, robust audits, and the provision of data and insights to drive decision-making. You will be encouraged to showcase your skills on unique projects.

You will demonstrate responsiveness, efficiency, and professionalism as hallmarks of your outstanding service. You will support team members at both junior and senior levels, and work closely with customers across the business to facilitate the fulfilment of goods and services, ensuring they are completed on schedule and aligned with requirements. You will oversee and evaluate contract delivery, monitor KPIs, and drive cost reductions and benefits. From capturing requirements and coordinating tendering to contract execution and management, you will employ exemplary commercial standards.

Exceptional influencing, negotiation, continuous improvement, and operational management skills are essential. You will also need strong people skills to be a role model, providing expertise, sharing knowledge, and mentoring others. An enthusiastic approach to challenges and problem resolution is important—addressing issues, creating solutions, and identifying new opportunities to enhance customer offerings. Your Qualification, Experience, Skills, and Behaviours

• As an exceptional commercial professional, you will have experience in:

• Procurement and supplier management
• Contract management, sourcing, commercial operations, supply chain, invoicing
• Developing strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
• Category management approaches that deliver efficiencies and cost reductions
• Prioritising work amidst complex activities and competing criteria

Ideally, you will also have experience in purchasing, bill management, and contract creation & management, particularly in technology or digital environments.

• Hold or be willing to attain a professional commercial qualification such as CIPS (Level 5) or equivalent, to enable you to deliver impactful results for this client.
