THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 5 MONTHS UNTIL 27/12/2025 DUE TO SECONDMENT. If you are a Hywel Dda University Health Board employee and are applying for this post as a secondment, agreement for the secondment is needed from your current manager prior to application.

We are looking for a highly motivated and suitably experienced individual to join the Medical Recruitment Team in Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest. The post involves working to provide support for managers and appointees throughout the recruitment and selection process using a range of electronic workforce information systems.

The successful applicant will be part of a small team and will assist in ensuring the recruitment processes within their area are efficient, effective and safe. Working with a variety of stakeholders you will need to hold the Health Board values at the centre of your day-to-day transactions. This opportunity comes at an exciting time for the recruitment function as we work towards transforming the recruitment pathway to ensure a personalised service for all stakeholders.

The successful candidate will need to have previous administrative and/or customer service experience as well as excellent communication skills.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 12,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services to almost 400,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales.

  • Qualifications and Knowledge
  • Essential criteria: Level 3 qualification in Business Administration or equivalent experience. Knowledge of spreadsheets, office equipment and systems.
  • Desirable criteria: Knowledge of recruitment policies/procedures and recruitment process.
  • Experience
    • Essential criteria: Dealing with the public / customer service. Previous office / administration experience. Competent with Microsoft IT packages, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Desirable criteria: HR or Recruitment experience.
  • Other
    • Essential criteria: Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner. Flexible approach to the needs of the service.
    • Desirable criteria: Welsh Speaker (Level 1-3).
