Product Design Consultant

About the role: Product design consultants will work on a variety of projects at OPD across the medical, industrial and consumer sectors About you: We are looking for a technically savvy, creative problem solver with a meticulous and methodical approach to the details of the design. Role Responsibilities: Producing innovative and technically excellent designs , Maintaining quality, processes, procedure and standards within the business and demonstrating a meticulous and methodical approach to project delivery , Communicating with clients clearly and confidently while showing sound commercial judgement , Delivering projects within scope, to time and on budget , Collaborating effectively with colleagues and actively mentoring junior members of staff , Ability to work autonomously and independently when required Role Requirements: Degree qualified in mechanical engineering, product design or related discipline , High level theoretical understanding of the principles of mechanical engineering , Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes , Clear and confident communicator with a preference for pictures over words , Strong 3D CAD skills (preferably SolidWorks) , Be able to demonstrate analytical and/or simulation skills , Experienced and capable at building relationships with clients and suppliers , Several years of demonstrable experience in product development, preferably within a consultancy environment , Experience of bringing at least one product to market successfully , Familiarity with ISO 9001 working processes #J-18808-Ljbffr
