As our new Facilities Manager you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all areas internally and externally, including equipment, services, buildings, ground and plant. You will manage projects from end-to-end and manage the facilities team to ensure all projects are delivered on time and in line with the budget.
Key Responsibilities:- Development and implementation of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules to incorporate all statutory compliance items
- Maintain awareness of legislation to monitor and maintain business compliance at all times
- Management of business helpdesk function to prioritise both planned and reactive works
- Management of in-house maintenance team including Maintenance Technicians and Coordinator support
- Procurement and contract management for major services e.g. contract cleaning, catering and security
- Development and implementation of plans to ensure business continuity and emergency response
- Liaison and reporting with insurance providers as required
- A proactive member of the senior H&S team to monitor and improve business performance via health and safety systems
- Project management, supervising & coordinating work of contractors as required
- Liaison with landlord and any sub tenants as applicable in relation to estate services
- Procurement and appropriate monitoring of utility contracts
- Preparation of annual and project budgets, in addition to measuring & reporting performance against these at regular intervals
- Support administration and operation of company car/pool cars schemes, including procurement of new leases, ongoing maintenance and accurate reporting systems
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Property / Facilities Manager role and be preferably degree educated. You will have strong communication skills and a flexible attitude towards working hours and changing priorities. Excellent quality standards and attention to detail are essential, and Health and Safety qualifications such as NEBOSH would be preferable.
