The Global Student Recruitment and Admissions directorate delivers marketing, student recruitment and admissions services in partnership with Faculties, creating strategies to attract growing numbers of students from across global markets, as well as from the UK. As a directorate we are responsible for the delivery of student recruitment targets, ensuring cohesive recruitment strategies and planning from lead generations and attraction, admissions, through to conversion and enrolment.
About The Role
The Student Market Research, Insights and Planning team play a critical role in providing data and insights related to the student journey to enable the development of strategies to achieve the university’s student recruitment targets. The Student Data Officer is responsible for collating student recruitment data and providing data reports to internal stakeholders. The role will collect and collate data related to the prospective student journey, specifically the data that informs the marketing funnel. This will include capturing and recording agents’ fees and commissions as part of enrolment activity. The role will also be responsible for maintaining databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance with data protection legislation and best practices.
About You
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
- Essential Criteria
- Educated to degree level and/or proven experience in data collection, analysis and reporting.
- Experience of data imports, exports and CRM data maintenance related activities with such products as Dynamics, Salesforce, SITS etc.
- Experience utilising data analysis tools and software (e.g. Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Google Analytics)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrable ability to form and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring data quality and a high level of accuracy.
- Able to work on own initiative, able to identify and resolve issues promptly and/or escalating where required.
- Desirable criteria
- Experience working within the Higher Education sector.
- Experience of Agile project management methodologies.
- Understanding of GDPR and marketing data governance and compliance principles.
