A Mechanical Design Engineer is wanted to join a pioneering organisation dedicated to reducing environmental impact through innovative, low-carbon product design. The Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the creation of new product features, customising designs for key projects, and improving the sustainability of existing solutions. This is a hands-on role where you will support the full product lifecycle from early concept and CAD development to testing, installations, and post-production improvements.
You will work closely with local engineering, operations, procurement, and business development teams, while also collaborating with colleagues across Europe. The role involves occasional travel to testing facilities, construction sites, and other regional locations to support prototyping, installations, and supplier engagement.
Key Requirements:- Degree in mechanical, structural, civil or product design engineering
- 2-5 years experience in mechanical or product design roles
- Experienced with Windchill
- Strong CAD skills - ideally using PTC CREO
- Understanding of sustainable design and low-carbon materials
- Ability to run basic FEA simulations and develop test-ready designs
- Experience supporting product testing and installation
- Strong documentation and drawing management skills
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
- Willingness to travel to support projects in different regions
Salary: £40-45,000 per annum
Location: London (3x a week onsite)
