We are looking for skilled operatives to take the opportunity to work within the Royal Mail Depot at Blackpool in order to support their operations. This is a 2-day contract starting Wednesday 2nd July to Thursday 3rd July. Shifts are from 10:00 to 18:00 (unless otherwise specified).

Operators are required to:

  • Be able to follow clear instructions.
  • Always adhere to Safety Standards.
  • Be able to use a multiple of tools, for example, Impact Drivers, Drills, Stanley Knives, and some measuring tools.
  • Show agility and be able to adapt to change easily with the support of the Royal Mail Lead at that time.
  • Be physically fit.
  • Be punctual; flexibility will be required on the working days depending on the work requirements.

Specifically:

  • Be able to bolt and unbolt together Royal Mail sorting Frames. A Frame is approximately 5 ft height, 6 ft wide, and approximately 45 Kgs of steel construction.
  • Be able to use a drill to unscrew bolts and screw bolts into Frames.
  • With the support of colleagues, be able to move and reposition sorting Frames.
  • Under the direction of a Royal Mail lead, use Vinyl Wrap and Duct Tape and position them onto sorting Frames.
  • Load and unload vehicles (large vans) on operations sites.
