The role
As an Aircraft Technician, youâll have a role thatâs out of the ordinary. Assisting in the ground movement of aircraft and carrying out Flight-line operations.
Day-to-day, youâll have the following responsibilities:
- Carry out Flight-line operations i.e. Preparation of aircraft for daily flying, âsee-inâ and âsee-offâ, fuel and oil replenishment.
- Daily Check A maintenance.
- Undertake scheduled and corrective maintenance of the LAFT Aircraft fleet.
- Pre-use checks and Scheduled Maintenance of Company owned Ground Support Equipment.
- Complete âallâ documentation in accordance with current legislation and Company procedure.
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Benson.
Essential experience of the Aircraft Technician:
- Aware of the MOD or Civilian Engineering procedures/documentation.
- Experience of the Aviation industry; this can include work through college or university placements.
Qualifications for the Aircraft Technician:
- Recognised Aircraft Apprenticeship, Military experience or NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) and DBS security clearance for this role.
