Do you have the drive and passion to make a real difference to the lives of children in care? Are you a proactive, pragmatic, and progressive social worker? We are seeking a Senior Social Work Practitioner to join our dynamic Children in Care Team.

About The Role

You will manage your own caseload, working with children and young people who are looked after and those who have a plan of adoption. You will demonstrate a strong ability to analyse information and formulate outcome-focused care plans for children and young people. Your exceptional organisational skills will enable you to manage and prioritise your work effectively and in a timely way.

In Part In This Role, You Can Expect To

  • Devise dynamic care plans for children in care in Bath and North East Somerset Council.
  • Facilitate adoption processes, ensuring that children find permanent, loving homes.
  • Develop and implement transition plans to support young people as they move towards adulthood.
  • Support reunification efforts to help children return to their families when safe and appropriate.
  • Promote family connections and lifelong links, recognising the importance of maintaining relationships with birth families and significant others.
