We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for delivery to join our People, Safety and Culture Team in the role of Regional People Partner (South) . The successful Regional People Partner will be responsible for working collaboratively as a member of the Senior Retail Distribution leadership team, providing HR expertise to improve team and business performance through the development and implementation of people priorities and strategy, informed by business and commercial knowledge, leveraging central HR interventions and insight.

Working pattern: Monday to Friday

What you’ll do:

  • Your role as Regional People Partner will see you support and drive the tactical and transactional HR agenda alongside the business unit leadership team and Senior People Partner (Retail Distribution)
  • Responsible for working across site people teams to ensure the tactical execution of people plans and priorities is achieved through best practice solutions
  • Work with Operational leaders to project lead Organisation Design changes where needed to supporting business goals
  • Have experience of leading complex change across multiple locations aligned with legal compliance and best practice methodologies and processes for example individual & redundancies, TUPE – in & out, Contractual variations
  • Work alongside the Senior People Partner to ensure robust and consistent ways of working are in place across Retail People Operations when working with the Trade Union locally and nationally
  • Identify risks and challenges to the employee relationship – reduce risks by developing programs, policies and procedures to promote fair and equitable employee relations and business decisions. Evaluate and improve existing people practices to introduce new perspectives, trends and processes. Ensure employment policies and practices comply with relevant employment regulations
  • Work with the talent development team to ensure that development plans are in place for all high potential individuals

Who you are:

  • Minimum CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent
  • At least 5 years’ experience of managing complex TUPE, Redundancy, Contractual Variation projects within an operational and unionised environment
  • Background in Employee Relations – with an ability to identify trends and implement corrective and / or preventative measures.
  • Experience of working with and managing trade union relationships, pay negotiations and dispute resolution
  • Solid working knowledge of the principles and practices of employment law with in-depth practical knowledge and application
  • Experience of leading a team of HR professionals
  • Proven track record of managing a remote team and increasing engagement levels
  • Experience of all legal requirements when managing the end to end employee lifecycle
