Job Purpose
Act as a subject‑matter expert in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and deliver strategic infrastructure initiatives, maintain service availability, and manage cloud budgets exceeding £10 million.
Play a lead role in the RM Cloud Centre of Excellence, drive value from cloud technologies and ensure alignment with architectural and security best practices.
Key Accountabilities
• Act as technical authority for GCP platforms and tenant‑level management, ensuring services adhere to the Cloud Adoption Framework.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – design, publish, and maintain Terraform code via Azure DevSecOps pipelines; keep code in a central Git repository.
• Automate self‑service capabilities for product and engineering teams to accelerate DevSecOps transformation.
• Develop and maintain Cloud blueprints, guidelines, standards, patterns, and policy to foster consistency across Azure cloud technologies.
• Participate in the Cloud Centre of Excellence – collaborate with CCoE members across technology functions.
• Define and publish detailed Cloud Roadmaps, prioritise initiatives, and balance risk, cost and service performance.
• Embed FinOps culture to cost‑control cloud resources; report and analyse cloud spend.
• Handle incident, change and service improvement plans; act as central point of contact for GCP‑related decisions.
• Drive security, providing best‑practice controls in partnership with the RM Cyber team and balancing user experience.
• Support professional accreditation and audit compliance.
• Engage stakeholders to champion cloud solutions, provide workshops, events and influence technology strategy.

- Azure DevOps – pipelines, Azure AD, Azure Hybrid Benefit
