NPD Assistant

An opportunity for an NPD Assistant to join a luxury beauty brand based in London. The Role Join a vibrant and forward-thinking beauty business as an NPD Assistant, supporting the New Product Development (NPD) team across two high-profile skincare brands. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for skincare and product development, bringing ideas to life from concept to shelf. You’ll play a vital role in supporting formulation, packaging, and project management activities. This is a fast-paced and collaborative environment where attention to detail, time management, and communication are key. Key Responsibilities: Support NPD managers across both brands in creating briefs for suppliers (bulk and packaging). Help manage development timelines, flag risks, and track progress to support on-time launches. Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to keep everyone aligned and informed. Maintain development records, technical data, product folders, samples, and testing documentation. Work with contract chemists and safety assessors to ensure science-first formulations. Collaborate with the Design team on artwork, packaging briefs, and proofing to print-ready standards. Assist with product copywriting, naming, and trend/competitor research. Contribute to strategic discussions with a science-led approach. You’ll bring a scientific mind, creative curiosity, and strong organisation skills to the table, alongside a real love for skincare innovation. You’ll thrive in a fast-moving environment, balancing tasks with confidence and clarity while keeping a keen eye on the finer details. We’re looking for someone with: A degree in Cosmetic Science (or similar) and solid A-levels in Maths and Science. Previous experience in NPD within the beauty industry – at any level. Excellent communication, time management, and prioritisation skills. A proactive, flexible approach with strong relationship-building ability. Good IT proficiency (especially Microsoft Office) and a logical, solution-driven mindset.
