The School of Foundation, Intermediate Learning and Employability at Kingston College is seeking to appoint a Lecturer to teach GCSE Maths and Maths Functional Skills. The GCSE classes will primarily target students aged 16-19, with 2 hours allocated weekly for Maths Functional Skills.

The successful candidate will follow our schemes of work and assessment schedules, setting at least one piece of marked work each class, recorded on Pro-Monitor. Responsibilities include preparing students for exams in June, marking homework and mock exams, monitoring student progress, and contributing to curriculum development as appropriate.

Applicants should hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in a related subject, possess a teaching qualification (or be willing to obtain one), and demonstrate excellent teaching skills in GCSE and Functional Skills Mathematics for students aged 16-19. Energy, enthusiasm, passion for education, and the ability to support and motivate learners are essential. Proficiency in using new technologies to enhance teaching and learning is also desirable.

The ideal candidate will have strong planning, preparation, organizational, and administrative skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
