Overall purpose: To lead a team in providing support and personal care to people with physical and/or learning difficulties to live independently in their own homes. To support the Team Leader in delivering a quality service throughout supported living, promoting Diverse Abilities positively, and participating in community events.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the service within Diverse Abilities policies, procedures, commissioning, CQC standards, and legal requirements.
  • Acting as the main contact for the service in collaboration with the Team Leader.
  • Liaising with the Team Leader regarding the individuals supported and staffing.
  • Working independently, using initiative, and seeking advice/support when needed.
  • Building positive relationships with families, friends, and professionals, representing Diverse Abilities professionally.
  • Attending all mandatory team meetings, including training and important communications.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Diploma Level 3/4 or equivalent (or willing to work towards this).
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Full UK Manual Driver’s License.
  • Interpersonal skills, clear communication, person-centered approach.
  • Proactive, self-managed, and demonstrates initiative.
