Position Overview
Apollo is seeking an individual to join its expanding team of Institutional Product Specialists to drive AUM growth for its equity business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead communication, engagement, and relationship-building efforts with clients to drive AUM growth for the equity product vertical.
- Responsible for scaling key relationships to maximize fundraising outcomes across our equity product suite (PE, AAA, HVF, AIM, S3 Equity, etc.).
- Increase client touchpoints and product ecosystem intimacy to enhance Apollo’s brand and strategy awareness.
- Partner with sales and investment teams to serve as “PM surrogate” in front of investors, with holistic accountability for AUM growth.
- During fundraising periods, travel with and without investment professionals, utilizing equity product expertise to facilitate investor diligence and closing.
- Coordinate with the Product Management team for investor dialogues and cross-selling opportunities, providing feedback on marketing materials.
- Participate in relevant fund ICs to inform product knowledge and shape pitches.
- Contribute ideas for marketing materials and content themes for annual meetings.
- Maintain a track record of engaging with sophisticated institutional investors and positioning equity strategies effectively.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes in the EMEA market.
Qualifications & Experience
- 15+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree with excellent academic record
- Extensive client and/or investing experience
- Significant travel required, with an expectation of 80% client-facing
- Understanding of alternatives as a product suite
- Driven, commercial, self-starter with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication, analytical, and quantitative skills
- High integrity and professionalism
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly
