Occupational Therapists Grade 7 or 8 – Salary Plus Market Rate Supplement up to £3,000

Recognising the workforce demand these posts are enhanced with a market rate pay supplement in excess of the top of the substantive grade. An annual review will take place which could reduce, increase or remove the enhancement subject to market conditions.

In Hull, Occupational Therapy is a vital function of Adult Social Care, ensuring that individuals can maintain their independence and live life to the fullest in their own homes. We offer exceptional services to the people of Hull, as well as excellent training, support, and development in your career.

As a valued member of the team, you will have access to, 1:1 time, supervision and ongoing training & development opportunities. We have a Preceptorship program to support OTs who are transitioning from another area of practice or who are newly qualified. We offer development across all 4 pillars (RCOT career framework) including development of your leadership skills and work with the Curiosity Partnership to promote research.

You will have chance to develop your skills in the following areas:

Functional assessment

Intervention planning to increase individuals independence and reduce their care needs

Provision of aids and adaptations

Provision of highly specialised equipment

Provision of major complex adaptations

Specialised moving and handling skills

Cognitive assessment

Trauma informed care

Assessment and recommendations of adapted housing needs

Positive risk assessment

Capacity assessment and Best interest decision making

Moving and handling assessment

You will also have the opportunity to work with a varied case load including:

Complex long term neurological conditions

Life limiting illnesses

Offenders within prison and in the community

Homelessness

Self neglect and Hording

Short term intervention with those recovering from illness/ injury

Learning difficulties and autism

Children transitioning into adulthood (16-25)

Carers
