Pulse AHP’s Phlebotomy Team is currently recruiting for experienced Phlebotomists/Healthcare Support Workers to join the team for a role based in the Somerset area. These roles will be working locally in Somerset providing Phlebotomy & Healthcare Research services. To be successful, you MUST have at least 1 year’s experience in drawing bloods and proof of competency as a phlebotomist.
This is an established program moving into its next phase, seeking new candidates.
Position Details:- Location: Somerset
- Hours: 2-3 days per week, shift patterns vary
- Duration: Ongoing
- Recent phlebotomy experience of at least 12 months
- Proof of competency
- Driver’s license beneficial due to mobile sites
We seek experienced phlebotomists with HCA experience to work at least 2-3 days weekly in a 7-day service. Days are long, from 7.45am to 6.15pm, with Saturday hours 8.45am to 5.15pm, and Sunday 10.45am to 4.15pm. Positions available from July, potentially in areas like Bridgewater/Chard. These are mobile sites moving every 4-5 weeks; driving ability is advantageous. Pay rate is up to £20/hour (umbrella rate) plus weekend enhancements.
Main Responsibilities:- Complete POCT cholesterol checks, including measurements, heart rate, blood pressure, and data input.
- Draw and label two blood samples per participant, storing correctly.
- Monitor participant welfare, escalate issues as needed.
- Provide signposting, advice, and guidance.
- Prepare samples for courier collection.
- At least 12 months recent phlebotomy experience.
- Willing to register fully with our agency.
