Purpose of job/mission: To ensure that the moulding machines run to the specification established by the Technician Department and that the containers are produced to the customers' agreed specifications – also focusing on minimizing downtime and scrap levels.
What You Will Enjoy Doing
- Ensure that moulding machines and ancillary equipment are in good working order.
- Report defects and carry out remedial work within your competence.
- Check product quality at the packing station, including visual faults, weight, and filling out relevant paperwork.
- Adjust moulding machine parts such as heads, tooling, blowpins, blades, and ancillary equipment as needed within your competence.
- Maintain raw material supplies by changing over bins and report issues with supplies before problems occur.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the work area.
What makes you great - Skills/Experience:
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical or Electrical engineering experience (relevant qualifications preferred).
- Experience operating machinery; training on specific ALPLA machinery provided.
- Plastic manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Good communication skills.
