This family-run hospital is a cornerstone of the local veterinary community and has recently expanded to enhance its services across West Yorkshire. It holds Gold Cat Friendly status from ISFM, Silver from RWAF, and was named Best UK Vets in County 2022—testament to its commitment to outstanding, round-the-clock pet care.
The hospital seeks a dedicated OOH ECC Veterinary Surgeon for a permanent, part-time role, following a 7 nights on, 14 nights off rota, with shifts from 8pm to 8am. You will work alongside a skilled team including an OOH RVN and VCA, with additional support from twilight RVN and reception staff until late. The team includes certificate holders in small animal surgery, internal medicine, and dentistry, providing guidance as needed.
The hospital boasts excellent facilities: full in-house labs (Procyte, Catalyst Dx, EPOC, Coags), transfusion capabilities, digital X-ray, advanced ultrasound with Doppler, visiting CT, dental radiography, endoscopy, ECG, capnography, Doppler BP, vessel sealing, and sterilisation systems. You’ll be equipped to handle emergencies such as Addisonian crises, diabetic ketoacidosis, pancreatitis, and surgeries like caesareans, pyometras, or enterotomies.
You will join a passionate team of over 70 professionals, including 15 vets, in a supportive, progressive environment that emphasizes clinical development, team wellbeing, and patient care. Ongoing training and mentoring are available to support your growth.
