Salary Range: £120,000 – £135,000 per annum

The Head of Product

Send Technology is a rapidly growing InsurTech SaaS company specialising in the commercial and specialty insurance sector. Our mission is to help underwriters “write better business faster” on a global scale. We achieve this through our AI-enabled underwriting platform, specifically designed for the complexities of the commercial and specialty market. Our workbench serves as a one-stop desktop for underwriters, bringing together data, documentation, and decision points, enabling our customers to harness the power of ecosystem integrations, data, and AI to drive their growth.

As Head of Product Management , you’ll play a critical role in driving our product vision and ensuring our portfolio meets business objectives and customer needs. Reporting to the CPO, you’ll lead a team of talented Product Managers and work closely with cross-functional teams across technology, product design, marketing, customer success, and operations.

You’ll focus on:

  1. Building a cohesive product portfolio with clear roadmaps and KPIs.
  2. Establishing scalable practices and frameworks for product development.
  3. Leading product discovery, delivery, and data-driven decision-making.
  4. Enhancing communication across teams and aligning stakeholders on product strategy.
  5. Creating repeatable frameworks that accelerate feedback loops and improve efficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing as Head of Product

  1. Develop and maintain a unified product portfolio roadmap informed by user feedback, internal data, and market research.
  2. Establish processes and tools to track product performance and drive data-driven decision-making.
  3. Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless product discovery, development, and delivery.
  4. Plan, prioritise, and oversee product initiatives to deliver viable and valuable solutions aligned with company objectives.
  5. Coordinate product releases and communicate schedules across teams and stakeholders.
  6. Foster a positive team environment, mentoring Product Managers and ensuring effective workflows.
  7. Define and implement scalable processes, KPIs, and best practices to enhance team efficiency and measure product success.
  8. Leverage deep customer, data, business, and market knowledge to guide strategic product decisions.

The Skills and Experience Needed for the Head of Product Role

  1. Proven leadership experience as a Head of Product or Senior Product Manager, owning a SaaS product portfolio.
  2. Strong track record of working across diverse teams, including tech, design, and commercial functions.
  3. Industry knowledge, particularly in insurance, fintech, or other regulated sectors (a plus).
  4. Startup experience, thriving in fast-paced, scaling environments with a focus on innovation.
  5. Confidence and expertise in presenting to senior stakeholders and delivering strategic reports.
  6. Strategic and analytical thinking skills, paired with strong time and resource management abilities.
  7. Exceptional communication and leadership skills, combined with a highly organised and autonomous approach to managing tasks.
