Role Overview: Reporting to the Chief Content Officer and collaborating with the Commercial and Marketing teams, the Head of Broadcast Rights and Distribution will develop and execute SailGP's global media rights strategy, fostering relationships with broadcasters and digital media outlets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in international media rights sales and strong industry connections.
- Develop and implement SailGP’s global media rights strategy to expand audience reach through tailored rights packages and manage broadcast inventory.
- Negotiate broadcast deals to maximize viewership and secure premium slots for races and documentaries.
- Create and execute partnership strategies with online media outlets.
- Manage internal teams (Broadcast, Social, Content Production) and external sales agencies.
- Build and maintain relationships with broadcast partners, acting as the main point of contact.
- Coordinate with Marketing & Communications to promote broadcasts and digital content.
- Monitor market trends influencing broadcast rights sales and revenue opportunities.
- Establish efficient processes for handling rights queries.
