INFORM3 Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a Main Contractor for a Senior Engineer for a £50M Project.

Project – RC Frame Hotel

Job Location – Mainland UK

Salary – £45K - £55K plus package

About the Company:

  • Tier 1 Contractor with one of the largest UK Turnovers.
  • Specialise in Design & Build projects across NI, ROI and Mainland UK valued up to £150M.

This project requires a strong Senior Engineer with a background in technical, city centre RC Frame projects. Experience with PT Designs and post tension slabs is essential. The successful candidate will get to work on unique D&B projects across the UK. They will report to the Project Manager and Site Manager and oversee a team of Junior Engineers.

The Role:

  • Checking works as required for the project and ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations and completed to a high standard.
  • Liaise and manage sub-contractors and personnel on site in the planning and construction of the project.
  • Work closely with Project Manager and Design Teams to overcome any issues that may arise during construction effectively and with the least disruption to the programme.
  • Support the Project Manager/Contracts Manager to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with direct construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
  • Manage a team of engineers to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.

Requirements:

  • A Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering role with a Main Contractor in the UK or ROI.
  • Experience working on new build RC Frame developments and ideally PT Concrete Slabs.
  • Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint.
