This is a great job for someone who has experience working with portfolios having risk exposures to equity, credit, rates and FX via the cash and derivatives markets.
A bit about the job: We are currently looking for an individual to join the Public Markets Portfolio Implementation team with a core responsibility for ensuring our range of portfolios are managed in line with the investment strategy set by the Portfolio Managers. You will support the Portfolio Managers with delivering the investment objective of the fund, always ensuring that they are positioned to deliver the investment targets set by the Portfolio Manager whilst also ensuring we respect regulatory, mandate and client requirements. We embrace data science and the use of technology to drive our process forward. You will embrace our use of technology to ensure we are continually improving how we do and what we do.
The Portfolio Implementation Team are responsible for running the day-to-day requirements across portfolios and ensuring appropriate process hygiene factors are in place and respected, whilst also performing a key role in ensuring the portfolios are set to deliver the investment strategy.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Inquisitive nature, a teammate with willingness to learn and further development, problem-solving and analytical approach with the confidence to voice opinion, challenge the status quo.
- Familiarity with investment platforms such as BRS Aladdin.
- Citizen developer experience with scripting languages such as python is useful.
- Ability to bring clarity to sophisticated ideas through an understanding and application of data science techniques an advantage.

In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.
