This introductory session is designed to help artists, creatives, and cultural organisations gain a better understanding of how to apply for funding through the Arts Council England National Lottery Project Grant (NLPG) . Participants will gain a clear understanding of eligibility requirements, how to align their project with Arts Council priorities, and how to avoid common mistakes that lead to rejected applications. WHAT WILL THE SESSION COVER? 1) ELIGIBILITY: ARE YOU READY TO APPLY? Key Question: Am I eligible to apply for this grant based on my individual or organisational status? 2) ALIGNING YOUR PROJECT WITH ARTS COUNCIL PRIORITIES Key Question: How do I demonstrate that my project aligns with the funding priorities of the Arts Council? 3) AVOIDING COMMON PITFALLS: WHY APPLICATIONS GET REJECTED Key Question: What are the most common reasons applications for this grant are rejected, and how can I avoid them? 4) Q&A: Open the floor to participant questions about specific projects or parts of the application process.
