Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in line with best practice guidelines.
- Undertaking routine health checks, including blood pressure monitoring, ECGs, cholesterol tests, and diabetes management.
- Administering vaccinations, immunizations, and seasonal flu jabs.
- Managing chronic disease conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, and hypertension, and offering advice and support to patients.
- Assisting in minor illness and injury management, providing wound care, and supporting emergency care where required.
- Providing advice on health promotion, lifestyle changes, and preventative care, empowering patients to manage their own health.
- Working collaboratively with GPs, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient records are maintained in accordance with practice protocols and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with valid NMC registration.
- Experience in a primary care or general practice setting is highly desirable but not essential.
- Sound knowledge of current nursing practices, including immunization schedules, chronic disease management, and minor illness care.
- A genuine passion for patient care and a proactive approach to health promotion.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to manage a busy workload, prioritize tasks effectively, and work autonomously as well as part of a team.
