Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer – Valves Contracts, you will join Bristol to support activities within the Energy Sector.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Surveillance of technical documents and drawings from contractors.
• Conducting technical reviews and resolving issues/queries.
• Reviewing, approving, and contributing to design development as required.
• Assessing and managing non-conformances, exemptions, and design changes.
• Overseeing the evolution of contract scope and technical requirements.
• Reviewing and approving contract amendments and exemptions (CTSs, ERs).
• Coordinating with R&D and client teams to ensure seamless integration of equipment with interfacing systems.
• Providing regular updates on risks, issues, and progress to support contract delivery.
• Ensuring qualification activities align with contract progress and site requirements.

• A strong background in technical leadership within nuclear, energy, or complex engineering projects.
• Experience in contract oversight, design review, and technical issue resolution.
• Proficiency in reviewing technical documentation, drawings, and qualification processes.
• Ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Experience, skills, and qualifications required:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in designing and analyzing/reviewing technical documentation, drawings, and qualification processes.
• Relevant industrial background in oil and gas, chemical, power, or nuclear sectors.
