Wise May is looking for a proactive, analytical Insurance Assistant / Technical Accountant to join a leading international Reinsurer. Working in a global team, you will facilitate data-driven decision making and collaborate with stakeholders to support their reporting requirements. Insurance Assistant / Technical Accountant duties: Understanding the data received from clients to ensure it meets the desired level of detail. Managing individual client data and accounts on the Single Risk platform and accounting system. Investigating discrepancies in premium calculations. Managing the claims portfolio for allocated clients, ensuring accurate claim notifications and liabilities, and investigating any discrepancies. Conducting regular reviews to ensure the accuracy of outstanding claims. Ensuring timely cash settlements. Understanding the co-reinsurance structure between the UK and Ireland, ensuring settlements align with client shares as documented in the treaty. Participating in internal and external administration as required. Skills and attributes required: Numerate with experience in data handling. Excellent administrative and organizational skills. Strong analytical skills and mindset. Attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication skills (electronic and verbal). Knowledge of accounting principles.
