A friendly, forward-thinking GP surgery in Salisbury is seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join its established clinical team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centred care in a modern and supportive primary care setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a wide range of treatment room and chronic disease management services. Working alongside GPs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Pharmacists, HCAs, and allied health professionals, the Practice Nurse will help ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care for the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver routine treatment room duties, including wound care, immunisations, cervical cytology, ear irrigation, and travel health advice.
- Conduct long-term condition reviews such as asthma, COPD, hypertension, and diabetes.
- Provide health promotion and education to support patient wellbeing and self-care.
- Assist with childhood immunisations and adult vaccination programmes, including flu and COVID campaigns.
- Carry out screening and recall services in line with QOF and local requirements.
- Participate in infection control monitoring, stock management, and clinical audits.
- Support the management of safeguarding concerns and contribute to MDT discussions where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records using SystmOne (or similar clinical system).
- Work collaboratively with the nursing and wider clinical team to deliver evidence-based care.

Essential Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.

- Competent in using clinical IT systems (training can be provided).
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to be part of a collaborative team.
