Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen at one of the world’s leading financial institutions for a highly experienced Infrastructure Programme Manager.
In this role, you will lead a team of skilled Project Managers, overseeing both their performance and development. You’ll be responsible for the successful planning and delivery of a diverse portfolio of IT infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness. These projects will typically involve areas such as cloud migrations, data centre transformations, server and storage upgrades, network modernisation, and enterprise platform rollouts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of a portfolio of IT infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Align project planning and execution with departmental strategy and budget.
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of Project Managers, driving performance and development.
- Manage stakeholder communications, project governance, and executive reporting.
- Oversee project resourcing, vendor engagement, and adherence to delivery frameworks.
- Monitor project progress, risks, and benefits to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of project management practices and frameworks.
Skills & Experience Required:
- 10+ years’ experience delivering IT infrastructure programmes within financial services.
- Strong portfolio, programme, and project management skills with end-to-end delivery expertise.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, risks, stakeholders, and executive reporting.
- Deep understanding of change management, governance, and project controls.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience leading high-performing teams.
