Over the last 20 years, the company has developed unique growing systems and continues to look at new and innovative ways to improve the propagation process. The aims of the company are to provide commercial fruit growers with the highest quality plants available alongside giving excellent customer service.
We are seeking a highly motivated Propagation Labour Manager to oversee labour operations across multiple sites. This role plays a crucial part in workforce planning, performance monitoring, and day-to-day operational management to ensure efficiency and productivity in plant propagation. This position offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for an individual eager to grow within a fast-paced agricultural environment. Responsibilities:- Reporting directly to the EVP Propagation Manager.
- Manage EVP sites workforce engaged in plant propagation, ensuring optimal staffing levels for efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement best practices to improve labour efficiency and overall operational effectiveness.
- Track labour metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures to enhance productivity.
- Address operational challenges and implement solutions to enhance workforce efficiency and plant propagation success.
- Assist the STN Nursery team with day-to-day work planning, health & safety training, and staff coordination.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ambition and drive to grow within the company.
- Strong English communication skills (both verbal and written).
