The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs' corporate strategy, and in preserving the firm's distinctive culture. We are responsible for safeguarding the firm's relationship with alumni, clients, shareholders, policy makers, and the broader public, while ensuring that our own people remain informed about the firm's evolving priorities. We also partner with the businesses to source high-impact opportunities in line with the firm's social and sustainability agendas.

The Corporate Communications team within the Executive Office of Goldman Sachs seeks to protect and enhance the firm's culture, brand and reputation. The Analyst role is an important position within the Corporate Communications team for the EMEA region, helping to develop and implement a range of media strategies and communications tools in support of the firm's businesses.

Our Executive Office is a group of diverse teams that shapes corporate strategy, culture, and brand. Whether communicating with employees, managing our brand, or articulating our strategy to investors and analysts, our work directly impacts how the firm is viewed by a variety of crucial stakeholders. You'll be part of a team of excellent communicators who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with a passion for what they do.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help develop strategies and execute proactive media engagement programs across the firm's business areas.
  • Provide strategic and tactical communications guidance to senior leaders for both media engagement and reputation management.
  • Work with colleagues across the firm - in EMEA and around the world - on reputational issues and on important strategic projects.
  • Planning and message development for communications priorities across the region.
  • Find innovative ways and creative storylines to inform stakeholders about the firm and its activities.
  • Contribute to media monitoring, analysis and reporting processes to provide timely updates and insights to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with other Executive Office functions to handle corporate issues for the firm in a holistic manner.

KEY ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

  • Track record in media relations or a closely related field, either in agency or a corporate.
  • Strong written and verbal skills with a demonstrable passion for communications and the media.
  • An excellent knowledge of the media landscape, with a solid understanding of 'what makes a news story' and how to pitch it; existing media relationships a strong preference.
  • Knowledge and enthusiasm for the financial services marketplace and the products and processes of the firm.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, often under time pressure, while maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic - high integrity, team-oriented with a well-organised "can do" approach.
  • Must be fluent in English; other European languages a bonus.
