Our client is an established SME manufacturer based near Staffordshire/Derbyshire. Supplying rail, automotive, and construction industries, they are a converter manufacturer, adding value to raw materials through processes such as CNC, saw, and press.

The role

Due to retirement, they are now looking for a commercially focused Managing Director to grow the business from its current £2m base.

Who we are looking for

If you have experience in growing small businesses with similar processes or supplying into similar sectors, I would like to hear from you.

  1. Experience in successfully running SME manufacturing companies through growth
  2. A sales-led MD with a high degree of business acumen
  3. Hands-on with ideally experience across all departments (Operations, HR, Finance, Sales, etc.)
  4. Able to use intuition and take full responsibility for decision making
  5. Able to build rapport with clients and manage/grow key accounts
  6. Able to delegate and create sufficient business systems/processes from which growth can be built
