The Opportunity
We're delivering a complex £300m+ substation upgrade, combining advanced digital construction methods with traditional and off-site techniques. We're looking for a Site Manager (Electrical preferred) to lead critical EHV works, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery in line with National Grid's exacting standards.
What We're Looking For
- Must hold current SR163 (Principal Contractor Site Manager)
- Extensive National Grid or similar HV project experience
- Electrical background preferred, but strong mechanical also considered
- CSCS (Managerial) – must hold or be eligible for renewal
- Proven record managing HV electrical works (transformers, switchgear, protection/control)
Your Role Includes:
- Leading electrical site activities and contractor teams
- Ensuring full compliance with NG safety standards
- Managing RAMS, ITPs, red-line drawings, and QA inspections
- Supporting testing, commissioning, and energization
- Acting as key liaison with project stakeholders and National Grid
