What To Expect
As the Assisted & Automated Driving verification and validation Enabler team we are responsible for the HW & SW tools used for the V&V of the next generation ADAS and AAD features and functions. We are also responsible for the definition, design, development, deployment, and support of all HW & SW Engineering tools required to ensure our customers receive world class products.
The team are known as the Measurement Technique (MT) & Data Processing (DP), and we are responsible for the AAD/ADAS departments vehicle instrumentation, setup, data gathering, test data handling, hardware and software and pre-programme vehicle operations.
- Develop and implement software interfaces to interact with Assisted & Automated Driving systems and sensors: In-vehicle networks, ECU specific networks, Lidar, Radar, High Resolution & High Dynamic Range Cameras, and Inertial Navigation Systems.
- Develop end-to-end software solutions to support our high-speed data acquisition technologies, from HMIs to cloud uploading.
- Support, embrace, and improve our Continuous Integration / Continuous Development strategy, supporting multiple software languages.
- Contribute to data acquisition system design, development, and deployment.
- Work efficiently with different multi-disciplinary squads: Cloud Infrastructure, Data Processing, Data Analytics, and Hardware-In-the-Loop to define and deploy synergies between systems and solutions across our product testing ecosystem.
- Work closely with the wider Assisted and Automated Driving V&V area to ensure integration and scalability of our solution.
What You’ll Need
The core part of the team is technical design, delivery group designing, and making new hardware electronics and software systems, completing development vehicle setup to deploy to pre-program and prototype vehicles.
We are looking for an experienced engineer to help guide the software and hardware development and deployment across a number of vehicle platforms. You will become a key interface to the partner in delivering the fleet solution.
- Strong backend and frontend working experience in C++ and Python, as well as general scripting knowledge (batch).
- Experience in developing algorithms for signal, image and point cloud processing.
- A strong understanding of ADAS vehicle systems, especially electrical and electronics.
- Experience in developing software using source control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Previous experience in mentoring and supporting junior developers and squad members to help support their growth.
- Experience in system and network administration of both Windows and Linux based operating systems.
