We are seeking a Scale Attendant who is aspiring to reach their potential in the field of construction. J-AAR Materials Limited is responsible for the supply of aggregates, landscape products, crushing, trucking and recycling. A Scale Attendant is required to report daily to one of J-AAR Materials’ sand/gravel pits to receive customers and process sales transactions. Some degree of physical labour is required.

How you will make an IMPACT

  • Weigh incoming and outgoing material and complete required documentation
  • Greet customers and process sales
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Maintain positive company image in appearance, conduct, and communication
  • Daily and weekly reporting
  • Verify ticketed items note / resolve any discrepancies
  • Audit ticket items by editing for price and weight compliance
  • Answer any questions that may arise from Customers
  • Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliance
  • Other duties as assigned

How you WOW us

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years related experience preferred
  • Valid G Driver’s License with clean abstract
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs
  • Capable of establishing and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Ability to keep accurate records
