The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are seeking an individual with a background in electrical or renewable engineering to cost and design a variety of standard and complex commercial projects. Working closely with the existing design team, project managers, and clients, the successful candidate will be able to deliver design and estimation from concept to order placement. It is essential that we have someone with strong technical knowledge of commercial renewable design and excellent communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide system designs, costing estimates, and bills of materials for solar PV, EV, and battery storage projects using industry software such as PV sol, Solaredge, and AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate directly with the project team to ensure all estimates align with product specifications and follow an effective handover process to enable project delivery.
  • Produce accurate commercial quotations using the Trimble platform, including technical proposals based on tender requests.
  • Work on a wide range of projects from 50kW to 50MW, including rooftop and ground-mount solar, BESS.
  • Liaise with all DNOs and complete G99/G100 applications.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

  • Knowledge of commercial-scale solar PV is essential; a good working knowledge of BESS is preferred.
  • Understanding of various commercial roofing types and mounting systems.
  • Experience using software such as PV Sol, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Experience in estimating, specifying, and technically supporting renewable energy technology products.
  • Electrical knowledge and experience are essential.
