Grangefield Primary School, located in Bishops Cleeve, is looking for a Co-opted Governor to join our committed and friendly Governing Board. We are a welcoming and inclusive school with a strong focus on providing a caring and stimulating environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Why become a Governor at Grangefield?

As a co-opted governor, you’ll help shape the strategic direction of the school, support and challenge the leadership team, and ensure that resources are used effectively to give every child the best possible education. You don’t need to have prior experience in education — we’re especially keen to hear from people with skills in:

  • Health and Safety
  • IT and data protection
  • Community engagement

What’s involved?

  • Attending full governing board meetings (6 per year) and joining a committee (6 meetings per year).
  • Visiting the school occasionally to understand day-to-day life and progress.
  • Receiving training and support to develop your governance skills.
  • Bringing an outside perspective to school leadership.
