Located on the North Wales / Cheshire border, Broughton is the largest Airbus plant in the UK and focuses primarily on the manufacture of wings for the Airbus family of aircraft. An opportunity has become available to become a Project Leader in the Building and Construction team at this site. In this role you will work alongside a hardworking and supportive team who have a wide ranging set of skills and abilities which you would be able to draw on. You would have full autonomy over the projects you would be delivering, taking ownership of your time and priorities. You would have the opportunity to work across the Broughton site, liaising with many different stakeholders. You will take responsibility for setting up and leading CAPEX projects from inception and feasibility, through to design and specification and final handover.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
- Full responsibility for delivering construction projects as client-side project manager.
- Lead, motivate and manage a Multi-Functional Project Team (MFT); including external professional staff, i.e. contract managers, client CDM, QS etc.
- Regular communication and updates on projects to all stakeholders.
- Develop client briefs into construction requirements, including scopes for External Professionals, i.e. architect, structural engineer, systems designers.
- Manage lifecycle of the project through to handover.
- Ensure that expenditure is in line with the budget and that resources are utilised efficiently to ensure cost control.
- Deliver projects to agreed timescales.
- Managing project risk.
- Ensure Project is delivered to Health and Safety Guidelines.
About You
- BSc/HND/HNC in Construction/Building Services (or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Capital Investment Project management, and delivery of medium scale projects.
- Demonstrable experience of taking projects from inception and feasibility, through design and specification to site monitoring and handover.
- Demonstrable experience and understanding of the integration of mechanical and electrical systems within construction projects.
- Good knowledge of the ‘Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
