There is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Planner with 8+ years’ experience and a track record of SSD delivery to join our APAC Planning Team in Newcastle or Sydney. For the right person we are happy to consider applicants seeking full time or part time opportunities.
Our team, consisting of 60+ planners nationally, is made up of a group of skilled and motivated planners with an enthusiastic approach to life and work. The Newcastle based team currently services a national pipeline of projects within the built environment, energy, and industry sectors. Our waterside Sydney office at the modern Sub Base Platypus facility has over 100 staff across many technical disciplines.
For this role we are specifically looking for someone with SSD Experience in NSW to assist us with our growing portfolio of SSD applications in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the delivery of planning approvals of varying levels of complexity
- Delivering planning analysis and research via a commercially astute lens to confidently deliver exceptional results
- Leading and working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across various sectors
- Developing, facilitating and enhancing effective relationships with our clients and internal SLR team members, particularly across other technical disciplines
- Working closely with the team lead to drive team and company growth
- Conducting thorough technical reviews and mentoring / development of junior staff
- Liaising with clients, councils, consultants & other government agencies
- Using your expertise to work across multi-disciplinary projects within a consulting environment
- Business development and high-level client relationship management
Experience
- A degree in Town Planning or equivalent
- A proven record in delivering client outcomes, experience in renewable energy sector will also be highly regarded
- Experience in the preparation and delivery of EIS for SSD and/or Infrastructure Applications
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and managing multidisciplinary projects
- A thorough understanding of project budgets and deliverables while maintaining excellent client service that we are known for
- Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team
- Ability to take the initiative and be proactive in your workplace and implement new ideas
