Aurora’s Software Solutions team is building the global investment analytics platform for the energy transition. Widely adopted by leading energy asset owners, operators, developers, and investors, the platform changes the way that energy market analytics are performed and delivered. To best enable the user experience, both through product development and delivery of key analysis and insights, Aurora is developing a global technical Customer Success team that provides the critical end-to-end human interface between the underlying software and the end user.
We are currently looking for a motivated Power Markets Associate to join the team in Oxford, to support our innovative software suite in Europe. The successful candidate will combine a deep understanding of power markets with strong analytical skills and a talent for handling client-facing interactions. They will be a quick learner who thrives in a highly collaborative and dynamic role. They will have proven abilities to navigate the complexities of power market software and be able to translate this into actionable insights for clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Empower leading developers, utilities, and funds across the power sector to deploy capital in the Energy Transition, by leveraging Aurora’s software suite for investment decisions.
- Collaborate with Aurora’s European Advisory teams to oversee feature-bridging analyses for client projects, enabling access to pre-release features and novel insights.
- Lead engagement on client transaction support projects, using Aurora’s software suite to perform market analysis and/or site-specific asset valuations.
- Work closely with internal Research, Modelling, and Product teams to drive client software queries to resolution.
- Partner with internal Product teams to shape the evolution of Aurora’s software suite and development roadmaps.
- Utilize customer usage & health dashboards to coordinate with internal Account Managers and engage with customers to drive usage, satisfaction, and retention.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in an analytical, knowledge-driven, and client-centric role.
- Demonstrated strong analytical capabilities, preferably in engineering, business, economics, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills with confidence in client-facing situations and other complex stakeholder situations.
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to drive complex initiatives to successful completion.
- Results-oriented, with a high degree of persistence in reaching goals and a hands-on approach to ensuring targets are achieved.
- Strong team player, with a track record of success in team environments.
- European power market analytics experience, preferably with experience of power market models.
- Professional exposure to energy and power markets.
- Leadership/management experience.
